چکیده
Objective This study was intended to explore the relationship between level of serum phosphate and prognosis in septic patients. Methods Data were obtained from public database, which divided into 2 subgroups according whether they complicated with chronic kidney disease. Initial values extracted patients on admission hospital. Propensity score-matched analysis performed. The hypophosphatemia, hyperphosphatemia severity disease explored separately. lowess smoothing technique Kaplan-Meier method utilized for a preliminary levels relation in-hospital mortality 28-day survival. initial graded as 1 (<1.5 mg/dL), (1.5-2.7 3 (2.7-4.5 4 (4.5-5.5 5 (5.5-6.5 6 (6.5-7.5 mg/dL) 7 (> 7.5 mg/dL). Multivariate logistic regression cox used analyse mortality. Results There 4059 cases (17.4%) combined disease, including 419 (10.3%) hypophosphatemia 1091 (26.8%) hyperphosphatemia. 19224 (82.6%) not 3769 (19.6%) 2158 (11.2%) After propensity score-matched, mortality, risk shock significantly higher than normophosphatemia In-hospital shock, occurrence renal replacement therapy, acute failure, maximum clinical score all normophosphatemia. consistent results. In without an independent factor death. When lower, death higher. patients, higher, greater. Conclusions Both are associated increased factors

An Elevated Percentage of Reticulated Platelet Is Associated With Increased Mortality in Septic Shock Patients
Microcirculatory changes and coagulation disturbances are thought to play a key role in sepsis. Some evidence suggests that the percentage of reticulated platelets (RP%) may be a valuable and cost-effective sepsis screening parameter. This was a prospective study in surgical patients to investigate the potential value of RP% as a predictor of mortality in septic shock patients. This was a prospe...
متن کاملElevated central venous pressure is associated with increased mortality in pediatric septic shock patients
BACKGROUND Central venous pressure (CVP) is an important factor affecting capillary blood flow, and it is associated with poor outcomes in adult septic shock patients. However, whether a similar association exists in pediatric patients remains unclear. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from patients admitted to our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) between February 2009 and July 201...
